Kenny Hutchinson is a former American Basketball player. He was originally a top prospect from New York City. He was a 6'5" point guard. He played for Benjamin Franklin High School (New York) and Martin Luther King High School (New York) He teamed up with Walter Berry to bring his team to the state championship before the school closed down. After it closed down he transferred to Franklin. At Franklin he teamed up with Richie Adams, Gary Springer and Wayne Alexander. He is considered to be one of the elite 24 from New York City. Hutchinson was all city and all state during his time there. He was a second team Parade All American in 1983. He was an avid streetball basketball player at the Rucker Park at the Entertainers Basketball Classic.

College

He was recruited by the defending NCAA Basketball champions, NC State. Though he chose the University of Arkansas. Hutchinson didn't originally qualify but eventually played for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks in 1984 after enrolling in school in 1984. At Arkansas he was a shooting guard. Cocaine abuse cut down his time as a player. He tested positive twice under the old coach and Nolan Richardson. He went undrafted for the NBA in 1987.
