Keith Grant Allred (born September 6, 1964) is an American businessman and politician. Allred ran for Governor of Idaho and was unsuccessful during the Tea Party movement influence at the time, losing in 2010 to Incumbent Governor Butch Otter. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

Allred was born on September 6, 1964 in Redondo Beach, California, Allred grew up near Twin Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1983.

After earning a Ph.D. in conflict resolution from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1995, Allred served on the faculties of Columbia University and Harvard University, the latter as a professor in the John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Allred returned to Idaho in 2003 and founded The Common Interest the following year, a non-profit organization dedicated to formulating nonpartisan solutions in Idaho public policy.

In May 2010, Allred decisively won the Democratic nomination for Governor of Idaho with 81.7 percent of the vote. He faced Republican incumbent Butch Otter and Independent candidate Jana Kemp in the November 2010 general election. Allred received 148,680 popular votes (32.85%), which was not sufficient to win him the election; Otter was able to retain his seat with 267,483 popular votes (59.11%).

Allred announced in 2013, that he would not contest a second consecutive gubernatorial run in 2014.
