He has served in United bank for 25 years and holds great banking experience. Rehmatullah was amongst few initial people who moved from Dokri to Sukkur and proved his mettle in his domain. In Dokri, the name of Manzoor Katpar and Saeedullah Katpar are very famous.

Former minister, Abdul Waheed Katpar(1924-2012)an Advocate primarily from Indus Valley - Larkana was a close friend of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto(ZAB), before joining Politics of Pakistan. He was one of the founding members of PPP & later on became President PPP Sindh & also Senior Minister of Sindh Government. He served the Sindh Provincial cabinet as a minister of Education, Health, Prisons/ Jail, Parliament( 1970's). He had the courage to face the Wrath of Gen. Zia's regime with dignity & did not compromise on his loyalty to ZAB and as a result stayed in Pakistan & did not leave the country, unlike many other ministers. His biggest contributions for Pakistan were the establishment of 3 Public Sector Medical Colleges: Sindh Medical College, Chandka Medical College & Nawabshah/ Peoples Medical College. All these have now been upgraded into respective Medical Universities. Mr Katpar proved his metal, both at the Courts & Parliament & was not only a competent Criminology Lawyer but also a competent, honest & devoted Minster. He was highly respected by the Health Sector & also at the Courts. Mr.AW Katpar left us for heavens on 14 September 2012.
