Kate Winslet filmography

Kate Winslet is a British actress and singer who has appeared in numerous films and television series. Her film debut was as Juliet Hulme in the 1994 film Heavenly Creatures. She went on to appear in the later 1990s films Sense and Sensibility as Marianne Dashwood (1995), which earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, Jude as Sue Bridehead (1996), Hamlet as Ophelia (1996) and Titanic as Rose DeWitt Bukater (1997). For her role in Titanic, it earned her Best Actress nominations for an Academy Award, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award.

In the 2000s, she was cast in Enigma with Dougray Scott (2001), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Jim Carrey (2004), Finding Neverland with Johnny Depp (2004), The Holiday with Jack Black (2006), The Reader with David Kross (2008) and Revolutionary Road with Leonardo DiCaprio (2008), her second collaboration with him, the first being in Titanic. She won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in The Reader. She also lent her voice to the animated film Flushed Away in 2006 with Hugh Jackman.

In 2011, Winslet starred in the all-star cast films, in Contagion with Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow and in Carnage alongside Jodie Foster, Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly. In 2014, she played Jeanine Matthews in the first film of the series, Divergent, based on the novel of the same name. She reprised the role in the 2015 sequel Insurgent.

In 2015, she starred in titular role in The Dressmaker and as an ex marketing chief of Apple Joanna Hoffman in a biopic Steve Jobs, earning her seventh Oscar nomination.

Her television work includes appearing in several episodes of the series Dark Season in 1991, and three episodes on Get Back from 1992 to 1993. In 2005, she appeared in an episode of Extras as herself and received her first Emmy nomination and went on to win one for her portrayal of Mildred Pierce Beragon in Todd Haynes's 2011 miniseries Mildred Pierce.
