Ksaragodu (കാസ്സ്രോട്ടാര്‍) is a Malayalam colloquial word used by the people of Kasaragod to mention about the people of Kasaragod District of Kerala State in India themselves. In General Malayalam, the people of Kasaragod are called Kasargodan. As the district Kasaragod geographically located in north most of Kerala and shares boundary with Karnataka, the Malayalam language spoken here is extremely varied with other parts of Kerala. Moreover, kasargod has a specialty of multi language culture. The district itself called " Saptha Bhasha Sangama Bhoomi", the land of seven languages.
