Karl Rauch was the chief executive officer of Coachware (formerly known as Knowtions), a software company founded in New Jersey in 2005. Rauch was educated at Villanova University and was born in North Carolina. Rauch was previously with Deutsche Bank before being involved in a series of start up businesses.

Coachware was financed by members of the New Jersey Technology Council's angel group, Jumpstart NJ, and in 2008 moved from an early stage tech company to an established business with seven figure sales and clients drawn from the Fortune 500 across various industry verticals.

After a successful exit in 2012, Rauch relocated to Portland, Maine, and became active in the local startup community, actively engaging with very early stage companies on several fronts.

In January 2013, Rauch joined Kuew, Inc. as a strategic advisor, actively participating in the development of its SaaS offerings.

Rauch died in August, 2013, due to complications with an ongoing illness.
