Karala is one of largest villages of Delhi. The main gotra of the people in Karala is Mathur(Matyasar),Vats,and Bhatneria.

Geography

The village has now been merged with Rohini Sector 37,Sector 38. Nearby villages are Kanjhawala, Majri, Rani Khera, sultanpur dabas and Begumpur. karala has its own water tank. karala village have its own sanskrit college the one of the oldest sanskrit pathshala since the english time. the one of the famous shaheed bhagat singh park situated in the middle of the village called bazar panna the ancient place where all the trade union meeting held. the ghoga baniya was one of the old sahukar in bazar panna. The great Radha Krishna mandir situated in "Bazar panna". the temple is the symbol of hindu worship toward lord krishna.The village also has a big stadium with a football playground.The song of famous movie "Rockstar"(Akash Mathur) - "Jo bhi main" was shoot in the same stadium on 14th December 2010.

There is a big temple in the town known as Dada Mandu used for worship by the people of Karala and Majri. There is also a big pond adjacent to the temple. The village also has a big stadium with a football playground.There is also a park named as "Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park". karala has also two teams of football which was KFC senior which include pardeep as a coach deepak as a president ravi as a captain and the other player was satpal,sunil,rahul,parvinder,happy,hardeep,pradeep and many more and the scond team is KFC juniors vijay as a goalkeeper monty as a captain and othr player were vikas ,karthik,rohit,kunal,vitesh,nitish and many more

Village karala comes under the sdm office and police station of kanjhawla area. the councillor seat no 29 come under karala administration. karala is the head of all the 17 village pardhan. at present choudhary harichand is the current pardhan of karala village with 17 village. karala have 6 chopal including all category.
