Kar Racing is 3D racing game made by Webfoot Technologies and published by Cosmi Corporation in 2003. The game consists of five tracks and they are Spain, France, Italy, Alaska, and United States. There are also ten cars with different handling characteristics. The version that WebFoot released on Retail has horrible bugs. Some of those may be the Options menu not working, some tracks not working, and some cars not working. Also, Spain is not included in the retail release. The game has DX7 graphics, and an exceptional design. Many changes to the game's design have been done by WebFoot, including:

  • the 'Spain' track is not included
  • Some cars may not work
  • The 'Car Selection' menu is buggy, most cars do not appear well on the screen and the arrows do not work. Players need to press the Enter/Return key. And the vehicle statistics are no longer shown, as they were shown in the original version.
  • At times, the tracks have 'holes'
  • The AI is horrible, they only follow the track on 1-2 tracks
  • Players can only drive the Ferrari, because the other cars are the cars that the AI uses. This causes the player to become an AI car, and you cannot drive the car.
  • At times, the track just freezes. Then players have zero control of the game.
  • Modifiable Game

This game is a modifiable game. Once installed the game, players can go into the Program Files, and there they will see a 'data' folder. That folder contains menu screens, button images, models, and most of the game's assets. The models are not currently modifiable, but people are working on that. The images are PNG format images. The car model textures are nowhere to be found. The car model and skybox models use the *.3do model format. The tracks use a special *.map format. That format is also non-editable.
