Kappa Telescopii (κ Tel, κ Telescopii) is a star in the constellation Telescopium. A yellow giant of spectral type G9III, it has an apparent magnitude of +5.19. It is approximately 293 light years from Earth. This star is an ageing metal-poor star that has 1.6 times the mass of the Sun, nearly 11 times the Sun's radius, and is about 1.87 billion years old. It is unclear whether it is cooling or heating up on its evolutionary pathway through the red clump.
