Great landings at kanoya air field
Kanoya Air Field (鹿屋飛行場, Kanoya Hikōjō) (ICAO: RJFY) is a military aerodrome of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Kanoya Air Base (鹿屋航空基地, Kanoya Kōkū-Kichi). It is located 1.5 NM (2.8 km; 1.7 mi) southwest of Kanoya in the Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. Runway 08R/26L is equipped with ILS.
On April 6 2016 a U-125 aircraft operated by the Flight Check Squadron of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force crashed near the base, with all six crew members being killed. It had been checking the base's air naviation aid system.
