Kambo Nenang was the old name for this monastery, after the word the people called Kambo Dansar monastery, nowadays called Lengu monastery. It is located at the feet of Genyen Massif and Shulzha Massif. It was the first monastery built by the first Kamapa Duisung Chenpa in 1164; the 7th kamapa Quzha Qiangcuo enlarged it. Once there were 2000 monks studying in this monastery. It is far away from the city and counties that are west of Litang county.
