In the West Bengal Legislative Assembly election, 2016, Wilson Chapramary of TMC defeated his nearest rival Bishal Lama of BJP.

In the 2011 election, Wilson Chapramary (GJM supported Independent) defeated his nearest rival Binay Bhushan Kerketta of RSP.
