Kaichi Hirate


Kaichi Hirate was a Japanese soldier. He was a Captain in the Japanese Imperial Army and during World War II was Camp Commander of the First Branch Camp at Hakkokate. In 1946, charged with mistreatment of prisoners of war, he was tried by the International Military Tribunal for the Far East at Yokohama. He was found guilty, sentenced to death, and hanged.
