Kaan is an upcoming Tamil action film written and directed by Selvaraghavan. The film features Silambarasan, Taapsee Pannu and Catherine Tresa in the leading roles, while Jagapati Babu essays a supporting role.

Producer Varun Manian announced that he had signed on director Selvaraghavan to make a film featuring Silambarasan and Trisha Krishnan in December 2013, with Yuvan Shankar Raja revealed to be the films composer. Four months later, Manian noted that the project was on hold until Selvaraghavan had sorted his disputes with PVP Cinemas following the failure of his previous directorial venture Irandam Ulagam (2013). In February 2015, Selvaraghavan announced that he would begin work on the film with immediate effect and that the project would have new producers in the form of Selvaraghavans wife Gitanjali and Siddharth Rao. A photo shoot was held in April 2015 with Silambarasan, Trisha, Taapsee Pannu and Jagapati Babu. A week after the shoot, Trisha opted out of the project as a result of conflicting schedules and was replaced by Catherine Tresa.
The films first look was released in June 2015, with reports suggesting that Silambarasan would portray a Murugan devotee.
