KTAE (1490 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a progressive country format. Licensed to Austin, Texas, the station is currently owned by Genuine Austin Radio, LP. A transmitter site is located in East Austin and the station has studios along Loop 360 in Southwest Austin.

The REO Radio Group purchased the then-KFON from BMP Radio on March 15, 2010, in which they changed its format from a Spanish music format to a Spanish-language Christian format, featuring music, teaching and talk programs as La Palabra 1490.

On June 28, 2012, REO Radio moved its English language "The Word" religious format from KLGO 99.3 FM to KFON, in advance for the conversion of 99.3 (now KOKE-FM) to a progressive country format on July 8, 2012. On July 5, 2012, the station changed its call sign to KLGO.

On April 19, 2014, "The Word" Christian talk format was dropped and KLGO began simulcasting KOKE-FM.

On May 19, 2014, the call sign changed to KTAE.
