KSSM (103.1 FM, "103.1 Kiss-FM") is a commercial Urban Adult Contemporary radio station in Killeen, Texas, broadcasting on 103.1 MHz and licensed to Copperas Cove, Texas. The station is owned and operated by Townsquare Media.
History
The station that is now KSSM was for years KOOV, which is now defunct. Cumulus Media purchased KOOV and KOOC in July 2000 and changed the format as its current Adult R&B format. Cumulus subsequently sold KSSM and its sister stations to Townsquare Media in July 2012.
The sole Urban station for years serving the market was KIIZ-FM until 2000 when KSSM launched its current format as an Urban AC station. KSSM carries the syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show in the mornings.
