History

The station went on the air as KOYE on 2001-04-01. On 2001-04-17, the station changed its call sign to KLIS, and on 2001-05-07, to the current KOYE. The station name "La Invasora" means "The Invader" in English. It is overtly referencing the Mexican illegal alien invasion of North America, known as La Reconquista movement. Other Mexican radio stations use blatantly racist use phrases like, La Raza, in English, literally means, "The Race".
