KOCP (104.7 FM, Old School 104.7) is a commercial radio station located in Oxnard, California, broadcasting to the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, Oxnard-Ventura & Santa Barbara, California area. KOCP plays a Rhythmic oldies music format. It is owned by Gold Coast Broadcasting Ltd. The station is a partial simulcast of sister station Old School 104.7 KQIE in Redlands, California.

History

The station went on the air as KEWE with an automated soft rock format in 1972. Five years later, it adopted the call letters KGAB as album rock station "B96" before changing to adult contemporary in 1982 as KZTR (K-Star). It kept the KZTR call letters as "96ZTR" when it went classic rock in 1987, then went Spanish language for four years in the early 1990s as KELF ("El Elefante"). In 1995, they changed their call letters to KOCP and aired a classic rock format branded as "The Octopus'. On August 25, 2010, KOCP changed their format to classic hits branded as "Rewind 95.9". On August 29, 2014, KOCP flipped to rhythmic oldies as Old School 95.9.

On July 1, 2016, the station swapped frequencies with sister station KCAQ, transferring from 95.9 FM to 104.7 FM, thus giving part of the Los Angeles metro a rhythmic oldies station again in the wake of KHHT flipping to urban in February 2015.
