History
The Federal Communications Commission issued a construction permit for the station on 1979-06-12. The station was assigned the call sign KQIV on 1979-08-13. On 1983-07-27, the station changed its call sign to KFLB, and on 1984-07-18, to the current KBNJ. On 1985-04-25, the station received its license to cover.
