Dr K K Aggarwal is an Indian Physician and Cardiologist, President of the Heart Care Foundation of India and Indian Medical Association, non governmental organizations. The Government of India honored him, in 2010, with the award of Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the field of medicine.

Biography

Dr Aggarwal did his MBBS from Nagpur University in 1979 and obtained an MD from the same university in 1983. He is the senior consultant at Moolchand Medcity, New Delhi, India.

Aggarwal has published many books on health including Alloveda, 6 textbook chapters on echocardiography and thousands of articles in national and international press and is a known face in the electronic media. He is one of the pioneers of streptokinase therapy for heart attack in India and introduced the technique of Colour Doppler Echocardiography in India, Dr Aggarwal has been honored with the Dr B C Roy National Award, the highest Indian award in the medical category, in 2005. He is also a recipient of Vishwa Hindi Samman, National Science Communication Award, FICCI Health Care Personality of the Year Award, Dr D S Mungekar National IMA Award, the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award, and the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award. In 2010, he received the Padma Shri. He is Gold Medallist and Limca Book of record holder in CPR 10.

Dr Aggarwal is National President of the Indian Medical Association and Chief Editor of IJCP Group.
