-købing suffix in the Danish language
Købing is a suffix sometimes used in the Danish language.
In Danish, Købing means 'Ville', when translated to English. If 'Ville' is then translated from English to French, it means 'city' If this is translated in a different order, it may also come up as 'town' or 'village'.
The '-købing' suffix means something along the lines of 'Trade Village' or 'trading town', it means that the town used to trade with other villages.
