History

Jungo was founded in 1998 as KRFTech Ltd., by two former Checkpoint Software Technologies employees, Derry Shribman and Ofer Vilenski (who served as the company's first CEO), initially specializing in creating toolkits for hardware developers, later expanding to provide residential gateway technologies. In April 2000 the company changed its name to Jungo Ltd.

In April 2001, Jungo raised $7 million in its second round of financing by venture capital fund TeleSoft Partners and Infineon Ventures and the Intel Capital.

During 2003 Toshiba and Samsung became customers; in September the same year, Jungo raised $5.5 Million in a third round of funding.

On 4 December 2006 Jungo was acquired by the NDS Group for $107 million.

On 15 March 2012 Cisco Systems announced the acquisition of the NDS Group for a $5B.

On 1 May 2013 the Connectivity Software division was divested into Jungo Connectivity Ltd.

The Connected Home division of Jungo Ltd. became a part of the Cisco Videoscape Unity platform, through the acquisition of NDS.
