Hoeke is famous for his renditions in the field of Boogie-woogie and this album was his first solo album and recorded for Martin van Olderen's Oldie Blues label. It was a follow-up to his much acclaimed solo performance at the first Amsterdam Blues Festival in 1983. The album was recorded in July 1983 and January 1984 and was produced by Martin van Olderen. The album was released in 1984 with catalogue number OL 8005. Linernotes by van Olderen.
