The Journal of Interdisciplinary Economics (JIE), a peer-reviewed academic journal is a forum in which those who wish to expand the boundaries of economic science are invited to contribute research that seeks out the hidden assumptions that determine the economist’s current world view, relax them and so evolve a new discipline more appropriate to the contemporary global environment, thereby enabling economists to tackle problems that have been created within that environment.

JIE is ranked 1* in the ABS Academic Journal Guides 2010 and 2015. The journal is furthermore included in the German Handelblatt VWL ranking 2013 as well as in the French AERES list 2012.

This journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
