The Journal of Contemporary Water Research & Education is a scientific journal covering research on water resources published by the Universities Council on Water Resources. It was established in 1964 as Water Resources Update and obtained its current title in 2004. It publishes three issues per year on special topics. Papers are by invitation and are peer-reviewed. The editor-in-chief is Christopher Lant (Southern Illinois University).
