In his book Prikrivena stratišta i grobišta jugoslavenskih komunističkih zločina Jurčević investigated 1,571 concealed execution sites and graves in Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina from the World War II and postwar period. According to his analysis, Yugoslav Communists were responsible for 89% of the crimes on the researched sites, Italian fascists, Chetniks, Ustaše, and Nazis for 3-4%, while 8% of the sites were still not investigated.
