Jorge E Meneses

Jorge E. Meneses (born 1954, Medellín, Colombia) is a former mayor and member of the City Council of Hackensack, New Jersey.

Meneses, a teacher in Colombia, emigrated to the United States in 1979. His first job in New Jersey was washing cars; he later took classes at New York University and worked in a bank and as a computer programmer and database designer. He was elected to the school board of the Hackensack Public Schools in 2002, and to the Hackensack City Council in 2005.

He currently resides in Hackensack.
