Jonathan Dedering (born July 14, 1986) is a progressive politician from Madison, Wisconsin. Jonathan was formerly an organizer with Students for a Democratic Society. In September 2007, Dedering was a co-organizer of a controversial demonstration in support of Josh Gaines, an Iraq War veteran, who returned his medals to Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Dedering organized a school supplies drive as a counter protest to a Westboro Baptist Church rally on July 7, 2012. Jonathan was the Green Party's candidate for State Assembly in District 78 in the November 2012 election, but was defeated by an overwhelming margin.
