Jon Christensen is an American environmental historian, journalist, and editor. He is an adjunct assistant professor at the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, Department of History, and Center for Digital Humanities.
Biography
Christensen was executive director of the Bill Lane Center for the American West at Stanford University before moving to UCLA in 2012. He is an environmental journalist whose work has appeared in numerous books, magazines, journals, and newspapers, such as the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the New Yorker.
In 2014, Christensen joined Stamen Design, a data visualization and cartography studio in San Francisco, as a partner and strategic advisor.
