John Edward Briggs (born March 10, 1944) is a former left fielder in Major League Baseball who played for the Philadelphia Phillies (1964–1971), Milwaukee Brewers (1971–1975) and Minnesota Twins (1975). He batted and threw left-handed.

Briggs played high school baseball at Eastside High School in Paterson, and moved on to Seton Hall.

In a 12-season major league career, Briggs posted a .253 batting average and a .355 on-base percentage with 139 home runs and 507 RBI in 1366 games played. After his last season in MLB, he played one season in Japan for the Lotte Orions in 1976.
