John Wilford Blackstone, Sr. (October 18, 1796 – October 15, 1868) was an American lawyer and businessman.

Born in Madison, New York, Blackstone graduated from Hamilton College in 1819. He studied law and was admitted to the New York bar in 1822. Eventually he went to Galena, Illinois and Michigan Territory. He settled in White Oak Springs in Michigan Territory. He practiced law and was in the mining industry. He served as judge for Iowa County, Michigan Territory. He served in the militia during the Black Hawk War. In 1838, Blackstone served in the Wisconsin Territorial Legislature in the Wisconsin Territorial House of Representatives. Blackstone died in White Oak Springs, Wisconsin. His son was John Wilford Blackstone, Jr. who served in the Wisconsin State Legislature.
