John Rogers


John Rogers (15 August 1750 – 22 February 1832) was a British politician. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Penryn from 1780 to 1782 and for Helston from 1784 to 1786.

Marriage and children

Rogers married Margaret, daughter of Francis Basset, and they had many children. His eldest son, John Rogers (17 July 1778 – 12 June 1856), was an Anglican priest, mine-owner, botanist, mineralogist, and scholar of Hebrew and Syriac.
