The John R. Commons House is located in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
History
The house was built for John R. Commons, a prominent member of the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his wife, Ella. They named the house "Hocheera", the Ho-Chunk word for 'welcome.'
