John Moore (born 9 September 1945) is an English former footballer who played in the Football League for Shrewsbury Town, Swansea City and Stoke City.

Career

Moore was born in Liverpool and began his career with |Everton's youth team before joining [[Stoke City F.C. in 1963.<ref interview He played in 13 matches during the 1967–68 Stoke City F.C. season|1967–68]] season.<ref name="The Encyclopaedia of Stoke City

He signed for Third Division ShrewsburyTown. F.C. for £12000 fee becoming a regular for the "Shrews". He played 159 matches for the club scoring once against [[Rotherham United F.C.on 15 August 1970. He then signed for swansea city for a £6000 fee and spent year and a half at the Welsh club before retiring due to injury.<ref name="The Encyclopaedia of Stoke City" still lives on the lovely gower coast of swansea with his wife rita and grand and great grandchildren...÷
