John McConnell (footballer)

John McConnell (born 9 December 1890 in Cambusnethan, Scotland) was an English footballer who played as a midfielder for Liverpool F.C. in The Football League. McConnell started his career at Airdrie before he joined Liverpool. He made 53 appearances for the club and scored once, but was unable to become a regular in the starting line-up and he eventually moved back to Scotland to play for Aberdeen F.C..
