John Madison, Jr. (1663–?) was a sheriff and major landowner in Colonial Virginia. He is the father of Ambrose Madison, the grandfather of James Madison, Sr., and the great-grandfather of President James Madison.

Early life and marriage

John was born in 1663 in St. Stephen's Parish, King and Queen County, Virginia to John Madison, Sr. and Marie Ambrose. He married Isabella Minor Todd, a widow, in about 1692.
