John Joseph Cassata (November 8, 1908 – September 8, 1989) was an American Roman Catholic bishop.

Born in Galveston, Texas, Cassata was ordained a priest on December 8, 1932. On March 12, 1968, he was named auxiliary bishop of Bida and auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas and was consecrated bishop on June 5, 1968. On August 22, 1969, he was appointed the first bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth and resigned on September 16, 1980.
