John Thomas Gannon (1830 – 5 August 1887) was an Australian politician.

He was born in Sydney and attended state schools before becoming a solicitor's clerk. On 12 July 1855 he married Harriette Mary Jones, with whom he had four children. He worked as a clerk in Goulburn from 1859 to 1861, when he qualified as a solicitor. He also served as Mayor of Goulburn from 1872 to 1873. In 1881 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Argyle, serving until 1885. Gannon died at Parramatta in 1887.
