John Egan (16 March 1951 – 1 July 2007) is a former Dublin GAA County Chairman. He was also known as Seán Mac Aogáin and was active in the promotion of the Irish language. He was elected to the chair in 1998 and served as chairman until 2002 and a member of Clan na nGael GAA Club in Ringsend County Dublin.[1] 'Aged 56, Mr Egan died after his bicycle was in collision with a parked car in Enfield, Co. Meath. He was brought to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown but died from his injuries.'[2] Egan is the former principal of Haddington Road Boys’ National School in County Dublin.[3]
