John F. Brigden is Senior Vice President, Software Strategy & Operations at Cisco. He leads a team of software experts that are responsible for driving the company's software offer framework, structure and licensing models as well as enterprise digital solutions. In 2015, Brigden launched Cisco ONE licensing bundles, which allow hundreds of features that used to be priced and sold separately on a subscription basis.
Prior to joining Cisco, Brigden was Senior Vice President of Enterprise Strategy, Verticals and Public Sector at Symantec. Brigden also acted as General Manager for Symantec's European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) business from April 2006 though January 2013. Prior to assuming responsibility for Symantec's EMEA business, Brigden was SVP and General Counsel following the merger with VERITAS Software Corporation in July 2005. Prior to the merger, Brigden was Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer of VERITAS Software from May 2001 until the merger in 2005.
