John Barorot (born April 21, 1966) is the current Chief Technology Officer at Telkom Kenya. He has been held responsible for developing various companies including Safaricom and Airtel Kenya. He has received various awards including the Presidential Award of the Moran of the Burning Spear for his contributions in Kenya's ICT sector.
Career life
While at Safaricom he was credited with spearheading the successful development of the overall operation and planning of the cellular network roll out, network quality improvement and Information Technology. While at Airtel Kenya and Telkom Kenya, John served as the Technical Director and an assistant Manager respectively. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Moi University, Kenya and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Communications from the same institution.
