John Allison is a British particle physicist.
Allison was a senior lecturer in physics at the University of Manchester and now serves as a Geant4 consultant. He is also Director and Company Secretary of Geant4 Associates International Ltd., a not-for-profit company that offers radiation-simulation services to the space, medicine, and industry sectors.
Key research projects that he has been involved with include the OPAL experiment at CERN, the BaBar experiment at SLAC, and the Geant4 Object Oriented Detector Simulation toolkit.
Allison is included in Thomson Reuters' ISI Highly Cited Research database.
