Johannes de Boer (5 September 1897 – 14 March 1986) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Johannes de Boer was captured by British troops in May 1945 in Norway and was held until 1947.
