Johanan ben Baroka (or Johanan b. Baroka; Hebrew: רבי יוחנן בן בְּרוֹקַה‎‎, or sometimes spelled יוחנן בן ברוקא, both read as Yochanan ben [son of] Beroka) was a second and third generation Jewish Tanna sage (2nd century). The Mishnah handed down, in his name, many of his Halakhic rulings, and additional halakhot rulings of Baroka are cited in the Baraitas.

His article in Pirkei Avot dealt with the issue of Chillul Hashem (Desecration [of] the [God's] Name):

"Rabbi Yochanan the son of Berokah would say: Whoever desecrates the Divine Name covertly, is punished in public. Regarding the desecration of the Name, one does it maliciously and one erring.".

He had a son, R. Ishmael ben Johanan ben Baroka, who was accounted in the fourth generation of the Jewish Tanna sages.
