Joel Morris is a UK comedy writer. He hails from Chelmsford in Essex, where he attended school with long-time writing partner Jason Hazeley. Together with Hazeley, Morris has written for many British comedy shows, including That Mitchell and Webb Look and Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe and Newswipe programmes, as well as many others. He is one of the writers of Bollocks to Alton Towers. a humorous guide book to the United Kingdom.

Morris was one of the founders of the Framley Examiner website. He is also lead singer in the band Candidate.

In October 2015, it was announced that Morris had co-written a series of Ladybird books for adults with Jason Hazeley. The eight books, which parody the style of the company’s classic books for children, re-caption original illustrations from the Ladybird series with new text, offering sardonic commentary on many areas of modern life. The initial run included titles such as The Hangover, Mindfulness, Dating and The Hipster and were published on 18 November 2015. These "Ladybird books for Grown Ups" became a best-selling series, selling 1.5 million copies in their first four months of release, and at one point holding eight of the top ten positions in the UK books non-fiction chart for hardbacks.
