JOE CRAVENS

Joseph Dale Cravens is a former men's college basketball coach. During his career, Cravens held the head coaching positions at Weber State University, the University of Idaho, and the University of Utah.

At Weber, Cravens served as head coach from 2000 to 2006 and compiled a record of 116–88. He led the 2003 team to an undefeated 16–0 (26–6 overall) in the Big Sky Conference and went on to lose to 5-seed Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament's first round.

Cravens is a men's basketball analyst on the MountainWest Sports Network, and also the former girls' basketball coach at St. Joseph Catholic High School in Ogden, Utah.

In his second year as coach at St. Joseph Catholic High School, Cravens led his girls to the 2011–2012 Utah 1-A State Basketball Championship. His team defeated Milford in the opening round, 29–23, Manila in the quarterfinals 51-23, Piute in the semifinals 63-41, and heavily favored and defending 1-A champion Rich 45-34 in the finals.

Despite losing several key players after their first title, Cravens led the defending champs to an undefeated season in 2012–2013, including victory in their second state title game over Piute, 39–29.
