Jockey

James Quinn (born 20 May 1967) is an Irish professional horse racing flat jockey. One of the highlights of Quinn's career came when he won the Nunthorpe Stakes at York Racecourse with Kingsgate Native. Quinn contributed to a debate on jockey burnout in 2006, noting that in spite of the prevailing practice of jockeys hurrying between meetings to maximise riding opportunities he was seeing his number of rides per season decline.

Corruption allegations

On May 20, 2011 it was reported that Quinn, along with three other jockeys and a trainer, had "...intentionally failed to ensure that a horse ran on its merits...", and was subsequently charged under the sport's anti-corruption rules.
