Jim Desmond: Candidate for 5th District Board of Supervisors
Jim Desmond, 58, is an American politician and serves as the Mayor of San Marcos, California. Desmond was elected Mayor in 2006 and re-elected in 2010 and 2014 without opposition. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Desmond serves as Mayor while concurrently working as a pilot for Delta Air Lines since 1986. Desmond is married with two children, both of whom graduated from UC universities in California.
