Jesus Is Alive is a song written by American worship leader Ron Kenoly. It was a short song in his first album with the same name, but it was extended as revealed in God Is Able. The song mainly talks about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and how he has allowed us to live on forever. The song came to Ron Kenoly in 1987.
"I was trying to write a title song for a musical I had written", says Kenoly. "I did not feel like any of the songs I already had could be used as a title song. I was writing in my house during a personal devotional time. All of a sudden the music and lyrics for Jesus Is Alive started running through my mind, and I wrote out the whole song in ten minutes. I did not have to change or modify anything."
