Profiles

Jeffrey L. Wilson (born May 12, 1974, Fort Bragg, North Carolina) is a consumer technology/video game editor and speaker who has written for several publications in the past decade, including 1UP.com, AOL, E-Gear, LifeStyler, LAPTOP, Parenting, PC Mag, Sync, Wise Bread, and WWE Magazine.

Wilson is currently a resident of New York City, New York, where he works as a software analyst for PC Mag, specializing in mobile apps, video games, streaming music services, digital comics, and desktop utilities. He graduated from CUNY Brooklyn College in May 2002, receiving a BA in English Literature.

Wilson founded 2D-X, an independent Web site devoted to video games and video game culture. The site was birthed from his love of 2D video games and his frustrations with overcomplicated control schemes of some modern video games.

Wilson spoke at New York Comic Con 2013's "Geeks of Color Assemble: Minorities in Fandom" panel, addressing minority representation in video games and comics.
